I worked on Pani's Box last year and it was my first collaboration with Alexa, a talented actress and director. She stars in the film and you can see more of her work here: alexashackelford.com
Our intent with the film was to show the raw reality of the life of the two sisters in the story as well as mix in supernatural and dreamlike elements in a cohesive way. I used the color green heavily in post coloring as well as lighting to imply mystery, supernatural and other dark elements in the film. As a counterpart, we used purple/pink to connect with innocence and youth.
I rated the RED Scarlet at 640 ISO for this film. We shot on old manual nikon photography lenses because that's what we had on hand and I liked their soft quality for what we were doing.
